South Anchorage of Alaska High teammates Blaise Boyer, a senior, and sophomore Vebjorn Flagstad secured sixth and seventh place in the Division 4 boys varsity yellow 2-mile race at the 75th Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational Presented by Nike in Walnut, Calif. Boyer clocked 9:44 and Flagstad ran 9:45 to help the Wolverines place five scorers in the top 40 to triumph by a 97-123 margin against El Segundo High from California. South Anchorage captured the Alaska Division 1 state title Oct. 7 at Palmer High, then secured another Division 4 varsity team title at Mt. SAC after a 71-105 victory against Half Moon Bay of California last season.
